Sales Ledger Assistant

• Annual Salary: £25,000 - £26,500
• Location: Crowborough, East Sussex

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing the Sales Ledger, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, and handling customer queries effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Generating and sending out invoices and credit notes.
• Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
• Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
• Liaising with the sales team to resolve customer queries.
• Reconciling the Sales Ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verifying discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
• Facilitating swift payment of invoices due to the organisation by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding accounts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• O Level / GCSE Maths / English required.
• Minimum of one year’s previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience of using Netsuite would be an advantage.
• Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
