Robert Walters are partnered with a thriving business in Chester as they seek to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk. This role takes responsibility for maintaining and reconciling the Sales Ledger with collaboration to internal departments
Key Responsibilities
* Record and verify sales transactions, ensuring accuracy in coding and documentation.
* Reconcile Sales Ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
* Collaborate with sales and other departments to obtain necessary information for accurate billing.
* Generate invoices for the Sales and Marketing advertising in line with the company tracker and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
* Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances and ensure timely collections.
* Assist in month-end closing activities related to the Sales Ledger.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address customer inquiries and resolve billing issues.
* Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and accuracy in Sales Ledger management.
Key Requirements
* AAT Level 3 qualified or relevant experience.
* Proven experience in a Sales Ledger or accounts receivable role.
* Proficient in using accounting software and advanced excel skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial transactions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with international revenue recognition standards.
* Knowledge of credit control and collections processes.
