Sales Ledger Manager
Location: Old Trafford
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

As they embark on an exciting new programme, they are seeking a talented and driven Sales Ledger Manager to join their team. This role is for someone wanting to thrive in a fast-paced environment, who is detail-oriented, has a proactive mindset and the ability to multitask effectively.
The Role
- Update and support in the management and analysis of cashflow with daily transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets reconciliations relating to income-based balance sheet accounts.
- Track and reconcile to bank statements in relation to student and other income.
- Prepare month end journals in relation to student and other income.
- Raise sales invoices, send and follow up ensuring collection on a timely basis.
- Record accounts receivable.
- Process invoices and follow up with customers, suppliers and partners as needed.
- Support planning processes (short and long-term) in relation to student and other income and cash conversion.
- Participate in supporting and leading on aspects of annual audits for areas relevant to the role.
- Adhere to the company's or organisation's financial policies and procedures.
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Maximise system usage and efficiency as part of the role. Including their Xero system.
- Student Finance work (invoices for Bursaries and Scholarships and ensuring reconciliation. Ensuring the income from LU and SF is kept up to date)
Skills and Experience
- Experience of transactional and operational Finance
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- A good working knowledge and experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of developing and implementing efficient and effective business processes and systems e.g. filing, records management, inventories
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, make decisions and use own initiative with a minimum level of supervision
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification in relevant subject area ACCA, AAT etc (Desirable)
