Sales Manager needed in the aggregates industry.
I’m currently working with a producer of aggregates who have a 30-year history and over 100 employees. This company have an excellent family culture and a close-knit team who work together to best serve their customers.
We’re looking for a sales leader who has experience in the aggregates sector to join the senior leadership team and take ownership of the sales function. You’ll play a vital role in this business by guiding commercial strategy, leading a small sales team, and managing relationships with key customers and suppliers.
Salary: £50k to £60k base salary (negotiable depending on experience) + bonus + company vehicle.
Location: West Midlands.
Duration: Permanent.

Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of the sales function including staff management, sales targets, and commercial strategy.
- Assessing team performance.
- Providing training, mentorship, and guidance to the sales team.
- Managing the recruitment of new sales team members where necessary.
- Managing a portfolio of key customers and suppliers.
- Negotiating effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Understanding customer needs and providing timely customised proposals.
- Responding quickly to customer enquiries.
- Ensuring seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Managing the company’s sales records in a CRM system.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and attending networking events.
