How to tell if you might be our next Sales Manager:
- You are self-motivated, communicate well, and can multi-task whilst maintaining great attention to detail
- You are friendly, warm and engaging and can confidently make connections with customers
- You are empathetic to guest needs and can be both patient and assertive
- You have at least 2 years experience working either as a Senior Events Executive or as a Events Manager within the hospitality sector
- You have worked with a booking system in the past (we use Collins)
- You may have some experience of working with proactive sales, 3rd parties or agents
What you’ll be doing as Sales Manager:
- Working towards sales targets and upholding a high conversion rate
- Respond to all enquiries and messages within 24 hours
- Responsible for the end-to-end management of client reservations & events from proposal to delivery
- A strong customer focus at all times, with an aim to create and expand your own client network
- Liaising with clients over the phone, via email and face to face
- Be knowledgeable of other parts of the business such as the hotel, bar and kitchen, to ensure packages, activities & events are created and pre-booked for a smooth delivery that surpasses client expectations
- Conducting site show-rounds and helping guests to tailor their perfect event
- Working alongside the General Manager and Head of Sales you will devise a proactive plan to fill empty venue slots and further grow The Georgian Townhouse
- Resolve or escalate any customer complaints in a positive and timely fashion
- Always be looking for new avenues and opportunities to further establish The Georgian Townhouse
- Increasing spend per head by proactively upselling food and drink packages to customers
- Growing organic sales by selling hotel rooms to function guests and selling F&B to hotel guests
- Building collegiate relationships as part of a growing companywide sales team, to help deliver the annual company Sales strategy
- 45 hour working week, Venue based.
- Generally, weekdays 9-5pm; some evenings & weekends required as necessary with key events.
We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, well organised, and eager to hit the ground running who has experience in events management.
