My Client is recognised as one of the market leaders for planned preventative maintenance, repair, refurbishment and installation projects for smoke control systems.
They are looking for a Sales Manager to join their busy team, the area covered typically would be the M4 corridor and London.
The Area Sales Manager is a sales professional that works to expand sales revenue within a targeted group of customer accounts or sector. The assigned customers or sector are critical to the Company’s strategy and its achievement of long-term financial goals.
Responsibilities will include: new business development for planned maintenance contracts and refurbishment project opportunities; maintain relationships with existing key accounts; negotiate customer contracts and monitor competitor activity within accounts; achieve assigned sales KPIs & sales targets; act as a primary connection between customers and themselves.
Main Tasks:
- New Business Development- Increase Market Share of the UK through developing & establishing relationships with End Users, Multi-Service (Fire Alarm) and Facilities Management Companies. Proactively seek leads and new opportunities for planned maintenance contracts and refurbishment projects.
- Account Management - Proactively manage a designated geographical area, including existing accounts, working with Service Team to ensure smooth delivery of workflow.
- Sales KPI’s- Maintain and grow sales pipeline. Achieve sales revenue targets. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Implement and maintain robust chase procedures in order to maximise sales figures.
- Technical - Undertake site surveys and compile quotations for planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure an overview understanding of industry guidelines and British Standards in order to provide customers with guidance.
- Provide and calculate cost sheets for each refurbishment quotation and maintain margins.
- Complete and return documentation for tenders.
- Update and maintain the Service Stream quote record system.
- Forecasting –Provide accurate monthly and long-term sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Good level of general education, including Maths and English.
- Desirable: Experience in Technical Sales role, particularly in an associated industry. (Fire protection, HVAC, Ventilation systems, Ducting)
- Degree in Business Studies or other suitable qualification.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5 years Field Sales Experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including experience of communicating at different levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated and completely customer focused.
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and deliver expectations to deadlines.
- Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging customers.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and develop working relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to understand detailed information.
- Have good business and commercial awareness.
- Strong IT skills.
- Full, clean UK driver’s licence.
