ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales Manager you will be selling Kempower solutions to different retail customers (supermarkets, fuel retail, specialist retail etc.) in the UK.

The role comes with responsibilities such as,

  • Developing and generating sales via direct accounts
  • Collaborating with our Sales and Service network
  • Evaluating opportunities and defining the route to market based on customer profile
  • Analysing customer needs, bring innovative proposals, and making them into tangible solutions together with customers and internal stakeholders (segment marketing team)
  • Following up of the sales opportunities on a daily basis via online and face-to-face meetings, phone, and e-mail. Report on the sales activities and results timely through the CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Participating in exhibitions and seminars, locally or abroad
  • Working in close collaboration with colleagues in headquarters in Finland and the team in the UK in order to fulfil customer expectations technically, commercially and in a timely fashion
  • Following up EV and EV charging market development and proposing business model or product development initiatives based on them

We appreciate candidates with an independent working style and interest in developing new. In this role, regular travel in the UK and regionally is required.

At Kempower we work hybrid. Our office in the UK is in Hemel Hempstead.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

As a Sales professional you will have qualifications such as:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in solution sales, capital goods or other large-scale solutions, to retail businesses. Experience in EV charging industry working with retail customers is preferred.
  • Solid track record of being top a performer and exceeding commercial targets
  • Self-starter character who enjoys working in a growing, fast-paced, and disruptive environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Superior organizational, time management, and negotiation skills as well as a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience in working in an international company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

You will preferably have a commercial or technical background and an understanding of the EV charging industry.

You are used to a variation of sales and decision-making processes with different stakeholders and have experience in developing trust-based and long-lasting customer relationships.
