Sales Manager ( Sales Manager experience required)

Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm with Friday finishing at 4pm
Wednesday optional work from home day
£40,000 - £42,000
Global CTS are working for a client based in Oxford. They are looking for a Sales Manager to join a small company and the senior management team and manage a team of three enthusiastic sales people whilst also selling and leading by example. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing their team and helping to build the bespoke high-growth business.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy development and delivery
- Responsible for developing the annual sales strategy with a plan that will deliver the revenue targets for each territory
- Collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure aims are aligned and providing feedback and intelligence gathered from customers and prospects
Sales
- Responsible for the overall annual targets for new sales being achieved
- These targets are challenging but achievable and realistic for each territory
- Responsible for achieving your own sales territory as well as managing a team
- Keeping up to date with our expanding range of products and with any issues affecting our markets
Reporting
- Compiling and analysing sales data
- Reporting progress to monthly Manager Meetings chaired by the CEO and helping to find solutions to any issues and challenges that arise
- Providing monthly pipeline reports to publishers as required
Team management and development
- Monitoring your team’s performance and motivating them to reach and exceed targets
- Ensuring they know their products and can demonstrate them confidently
- Coaching your team members individually and as a team to develop their sales and relationship building skills
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to help increase sales through appropriate and timely marketing campaigns
Essential skills and experience
- Minimum of 3 years working as a sales manager and with your own sales targets
- Experience of developing and delivering against sales strategies and implementation plans
- Strong Microsoft Excel
- Experience in publishing/ Education or similar industry desirable
- Proven success in achieving individual sales goals
- A strong team player
- Confident presenter for demonstrating products as well as reports to CEO and management team
- Strong organisational, analytical and strategic skills
- Ability to generate and analyse data and present clear, succinct results
- Excellent communication skills by phone, email and in person
- Inspiring and energetic leader
- Familiarity with CRM systems and quick to learn new systems
- A highly organised approach and able to remain calm under pressure
