Sales Representative at William Thompson and Son

The role holder will report to the Commercial Manager and be focused on ensuring that our customers receive excellent support and assistance with their enquiries, queries, orders, and concerns. The successful candidate will be based in our office in Dumbarton.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Commercial Manager with all aspects of sales admin such as quotations, tender chasing, sales negotiations, invoice queries, complaint handling and technical enquiries.
• Act as the internal point of contact for customers, building and maintaining positive relationships through effective communication and problem resolution
• Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Raise quotations in line with company sales strategy, generate sales leads, secure orders in line with challenging targets.
• Collaborate closely with the operational, logistics and technical teams to ensure effective trading and efficient customer service.

Skills:

• Previous experience in sales and/or customer service.
• A construction background is desirable but not essential.
• Proven track record of multi tasking with the ability to prioritise your workload. Excellent telephone manner with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Strong IT skills.
• Ability to work effectively both on your own and in a team.
• Self motivated with the desire to learn new skills and knowledge of our business.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
