Job description

Role Title: Salesforce Project Manager

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Knutsford 2 days a week

Rate: £430 - Umbrella only

Role purpose / summary

Overall purpose of role
The Salesforce Technology PM is the key player between business stakeholders and the development team, helping lead the initiative and workstreams from inception to completion.
Key Accountabilities

  • Project managing medium and scale projects , from inception through to delivery
  • Ensure steady governance over the projects and effective stakeholder engagement and involvement in the programme - ensure transparency on delivery, issues and decision making
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including project plan/ milestones, business requirements, process flow diagrams and management/ project status reporting
  • Work closely with key Front Office, Middle Office/Operations, Compliance and Technology stakeholders to obtain comprehensive business requirements.
  • Gather development and testing estimates and including these in formal project plans.
  • Work closely with run the bank staff on release planning of projects.
  • Ensure tasks are carried out in accordance within risk and control guidelines and all necessary Barclays Change Standard


Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at peer and more senior levels, using both formal and informal communication channels to understand their issues, help identify areas and opportunities for improvement
  • The ability to build sound networks and use established relationships to collect, disseminate and analyse information; establish/communicate direction/strategy and secure buy-in for desired purposes.
  • Communicate to stakeholders (including Management) on a timely basis in a clear and transparent way
  • Work together with wider teams such as business change, testing and development teams
  • Apply a global mindset and respect time zones and culture


Main areas of engagement will be with, UK and International Corporate Banking Coverage, Operational Teams, Product Teams and Client Servicing Team and solid collaboration working across project/feature teams. Some of these teams are based on the same site at Radbroke Hall
Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • Exercise good judgement and act independently on assigned tasks
  • Analyses situations, evaluates alternatives, and implement solutions within Barclays defined standards (where applicable)
  • Help to identify key issues and risks and manage accordingly
  • Gather relevant information before making a decision
  • Proposes a course of action or makes a recommendation based on all available information
  • Checks assumptions against facts


Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Key Skills/ requirements

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification EG Prince2, PMP etc
  • Knowledge and experience of e2e project lifecycle management within financial organisations.
  • Deep experience of Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud applications.
  • Knowledge of a structured change environment, for example in Banking, financial services or with a Fintech
  • Good grasping power to learn new things quickly and to understand the Client's requirements.
  • Translate simple to complex user requirements into functional and actionable software within the Salesforce environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Understanding and experience of Agile development methodology including spring planning and management.
  • The ability to prepare professional reports and documentation for meeting forums, including accurate documenting of meeting minutes and meeting facilitation.


Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Salesforce in Financial Services industry (Front Office and Client Servicing Departments)
  • Exposure to Salesforce Servicing Cloud and Analytics
  • Exposure to Salesforce API integrations
  • Salesforce Certifications
