It's an exciting time at Sense as our team is expanding! We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Community Support Worker to join our team in Stockport. Our Get Out There (GOT) Service supports children and young people.

This will be a permanent role, working 4 hours per week on a Saturday (extra hours available depending on your flexibility).

The great thing about Sense is that you don’t need to have previous experience in this field- we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.

As a Community Support Worker, you will support the individual access the community and take part in activities they enjoy. You could also attend our Saturday social group where we do different activities such as baking, sensory stations and dancing!

We work with a variety of young people. They often have an active lifestyle and enjoy outdoor sensory exploring, going to play parks, soft play, swimming and jump parks.

This role in GOT Stockport might include supporting young people with:

  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
  • Taking part in fun activities
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Going into the community for shopping or other trips
  • Their social life
