Adecco are recruiting for a Scanning Team Leader working in Preston.

Role to start end of March

Candidates for this role must be willing to:

  • Complete a security clearance screening process, including providing reference details for your last three year's employment and completing a DBS (criminal record check)

Job Role Summary

To undertake operational activities and assist the management team, contributing to the provision of a timely and quality document digitisation service that meets or exceeds service agreement levels. Ultimately helping clients to reduce the amount of paper that they deal with on a daily basis.

Mainly responsible for service operations processes, this role will understand and be mindful of all practice and process areas within the Service Delivery Model and understand how their unique responsibilities contribute to the Model.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountabilities can include but are not limited to:-
  • Sort incoming mail (paper and email)
  • Prepare mail for scanning, (eg. removing staples, paperclips, stamping documents with dates and quality ratings)
  • Process documents through high speed scanners
  • Index fields as defined by the client, eg. Type certain details from original documents into a PC
  • Process & file important supporting documentation and valuable items to defined operational guidelines
  • Retrieve/re-process documents upon request
  • Meet/exceed targets defined to deliver the contract, including but not limited to productivity, quality & unplanned absenteeism
  • Assist colleagues to achieve SLA's across multiple contracts, where required
  • Complies with Company and Client policies and procedures
  • Assists with operational testing, sometimes out of hours
  • Understands/updates all operational processes and guidelines & is Subject Matter Expert/point of contact, for relevant Contracts
  • Assesses daily workload, across multiple locations (as required) and works with the management team to ensure that work is prioritised accordingly and that there are sufficient resources available to meet SLA's and that work is allocated accordingly
  • Assists with the collation and input of daily incentive scheme data
  • Shares best practices across the team
  • Allocate tasks to team members
  • Alerts Operations Management team on unplanned absence, lateness, SLA risks, team issues, successes
  • Carries out special activities, eg. dealing with exceptions, courier deliveries, end of day processes, updates quality assurance files
  • Trains team on new operational processes
  • Liaise with customer regarding ops queries, doc processing, hierarchy and timings
  • Other duties as requiredSkills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Can demonstrate a good level of PC experience
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
  • Required to work reasonable overtime when necessary, sometimes at short notice
  • Security cleared to BPSS level (will include criminal record check)
  • Ability to prioritise workload
