We have an exciting role in for a EHS Manager to join our client in South Ayrshire, who specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke metal components. The company has invested extensively in the development of state-of-the-art facilities.
You will be responsible for implementation of the group safety strategy and fostering a culture that ensures that their is a harm free organisation. You will provide leadership and direction for the Environmental, health and safety on site.
You will have many responsibilities, some will be:
Manage all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance on site, including, but not limited to:
* Policy and process review and update
* Safety critical competence matrix
* First Aid and Fire Protection
* COSHH assessments and inventory
* Risk assessments and periodic reviews
* Onsite H&S induction and relevant safety training
* Liaise with external bodies such as local regulator (HSE) authorities on environment health and safety issues
* Develop Peer to Peer safety coaching
* Respond to emergency situations or other urgent site issues
* Track closure of corrective actions for all health & safety incidents
* Lead workplace inspection, behaviour safety and hazard observation programmes
* Preparation and management of site audits
* Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of defined EHS improvement projects
* Work with relevant disciplines to mentor on EHS related projects and support where necessary to ensure delivery of EHS roadmap
Our clients are looking for you to have the following:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Certificate level applicants with suitable experience and willing to complete diploma will be considered
* Experience of a manufacturing environment
* Auditor qualification
* Good communication and leadership abilities
* Collaborative, able to drive engagement across the factory
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Able to work independently, taking projects through to completion
* Root cause analysis techniques
* Experience of continuous improvement, 5S, lean methodology
* Computer literate - with a good knowledge of all Microsoft applications
