A secondary school in South Birmingham is looking for an interim School Attendance administrator to carry out ongoing cover. The working pattern will be Monday to Friday, working 8.00am - 4.00pm and will be on a term-time-only time sheet basis for the duration of the cover.
Your new role
Duties and Responsibilities include but not restricted to:
* Day to day attendance monitoring
* Updating student records
* Previous experience using school software system
* Answer telephone and face to face enquiries
* Maintain accurate pupil attendance records
* Provide administrative support as and when required
* Provide cover on main school reception as and when required
* Present data to senior leaders
What you'll need to succeed
As an attendance administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting student's educational journeys. You will work closely with students, providing guidance, assistance, and encouragement. Your responsibilities will include supervising student activities, assisting with educational tasks, and collaborating with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
To excel in this role, you will need to be:
* Highly organised
* Have excellent interpersonal skills
* Have previous School Attendance/administration experience
* Be highly motivated, professional, and forward-thinking
* Have proficient computer skills, including experience with school software systems - e.g. Bromcom, SIMS etc
* Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
* Be able to form positive relationships with all staff and parents
* Require knowledge of School Attendance procedures
