A terrific school in Richmond Upon Thames is looking to appoint a School Caretaker to join their in-house team. The school are committed to providing a safe and caring school environment that contributes to an outstanding educational experience for their students.
As a School Caretaker, you will be a vital part of the school facilities operations, responsible for the safe upkeep and smooth operation of the school's facilities. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the exceptional educational journey of the school’s students.
School Caretaker Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the school site each day and ensure that the buildings and grounds are secure, safe and in good condition.
- Oversee the standard of cleaning throughout the buildings, liaise with contractors as necessary to maintain standards.
- Perform a range of duties, including site maintenance, event support, and security, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety.
- Undertake general maintenance and repairs across various disciplines, including plumbing, electrical, and fabric.
- Salary £23,000-£26,000, per annum.
School Caretaker Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school environment.
- Commitment to child protection and safeguarding.
- Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems, construction/building regulations, and maintenance and security systems and procedures.
- Strong customer service ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative and effective prioritization skills.
- Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
