Working on conjunction with a Boarding School in the Oxford area, we are looking to recruit a Chef Manager to manage the kitchen on a permanent basis
The position is to manage a small team within a school kitchen environment , ideally you will experience of catering for large groups, cooking nutritional and wholesome food
The main responsibilities of the role include
- Manage your team through preparation of nutritious meals
- Make sure that Food Safety, Hygiene and H&S are all adhered to at all times
- Oversee menu development
- Manage a progressive atmosphere where people can develop professionally
- Manage stock levels
- Manage costs to maximise profitability
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- previous experience of managing teams within food environments
- experience around fresh ingredients and nutritious menus
- Strong working knowledge of compliance Food Safety and Hygiene
The salary for this role is up to £40,000, working 5 days out of 7, 40 hours per week and will require an enhanced DBS
