About the role:
We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and effective School Cook. The successful candidate will be supporting, preparing and cooking a weekly menu (breakfast & lunch) to cater to our diverse school community. The role will include all aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen hygiene and other duties associated with the running of a busy school kitchen and food service operations. The working hours will be Monday 7:30am – 4:00pm; Tuesday to Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm including lunch break.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Have experience in a similar role within a school or the education sector, or other kitchen hospitality environment.
- Be able to implement the necessary routines and patterns to establish good behaviour management within the school.
- Be able to contribute to overall school behaviour records and provide feedback.
- Be able to deal with minor incidents, first aid, and the personal health and hygiene of students.
- Possess strong oral communication skills with adults and children
- Be highly organised and efficient, capable of multi-tasking and working at pace.
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the role.
