School Nurse job summary:
- To offer immediate first aid and emergency assistance to any member of the school community as required.
- To guarantee the development and documentation of individual care plans and treatments for students in need in consultation with the students themselves, parents, other medical professionals/providers, and school staff.
- To assume accountability for the school's First Aid Policy and contribute to the Health and Safety Policy, as well as other policies where health or medical expertise is necessary.
- Possess a current Registered Nurse certification and be willing to uphold high standards of practice through ongoing training and certification.
- Display a commitment to advocating for good health practices and education.
- Exhibit flexibility in both practice and work arrangements.
- Demonstrate effective self-management skills, including appointment scheduling and workload prioritization.
- Maintain an approachable demeanour for young people.
