Are you a nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of children, young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and also in supporting their families within Wolverhampton? If so, then we need you to help us in the delivery of a dynamic and innovative School Nursing Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Wolverhampton School Nursing service based at Primrose Lane Health Centre. You will be part of a Specialist School nurse team supporting 5 schools that deliver education to children with Learning Disabilities and SEND within the City.
The candidate will be required to hold an NMC Registration Nurse sub part 1/2, Child Branch, Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN), Learning Disability and have a degree level education or equivalent [Health Related]. They must also have experience of working with children with complex cognitive difficulties and/or Social and Emotional difficulties.
You will be required to work flexibly and creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of the school-aged population.
• To ensure safe and effective clinical practice
• To enhance the child and family experience with regular and constructive communication
• To ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives
• To provide a preventative healthcare service to children, young people and their families
• To contribute to enable children with complex needs to have equal access to education in Wolverhampton
• To ensure efficient and effective use of resources
