Reed is sourcing for an organised and efficient SEN Administrator to join a school in Tower Hamlets. The role is to start as soon as possible, working from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only!
Day to Day of the role:- Manage files for all pupils on the SEND register.
- Maintain the SEND register and other student information, including the type of SEND, English language proficiency, and date of the last EHCP.
- Coordinate the design of EHCPs for each pupil in conjunction with relevant staff.
- Organise EHCP reviews for those on school-based stages and those with statements on a termly basis.
- Handle the organisation of paperwork for annual reviews for pupils with statements.
- Liaise with parents and outside agencies regarding annual reviews and EHCP reviews.
- Prepare paperwork and attend tribunals for SEND when necessary.
- Devolve all SEND filing to class teachers/year departments.
- Maintain the medical register and ensure information is disseminated to staff.
- Collate information regarding lunch passes and ensure dissemination to staff.
- Maintain information for students with transport arrangements and disseminate to staff.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Familiarity with the needs of SEN students and the administrative processes involved.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using school administrative software and Microsoft Office Suite.
