Salary: £26 - £32 per hour

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to appoint an exceptional and qualified Science Tutor starting in April 2024 . The successful Science Tutor will be in charge of tutoring of all the 3 Science Subjects to GCSE students.
Science Tutor Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
- Tailor tutoring sessions to meet the specific needs and learning styles of individual students.
- Address any gaps in understanding and reinforce key concepts.
- Assist students with their science homework, assignments, and projects.
- Conduct hands-on experiments or practical demonstrations to enhance understanding of scientific principles.
- Assess and monitor students' progress regularly. Provide constructive feedback to both students and, if applicable, their parents or guardians.
- Have at least six months of teaching/tutoring experience.
- Have a bachelor's degree in a relevant science subject (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Have excellent communication skills to liaise with school leaders, parents, carers or guardians and young people.
- Have patience and the ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of individual students are valuable traits.
- Have an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to process one at your earliest convenience.
