Location: Bury
Qualiteach is looking for a Science Tutor to deliver tutoring sessions at a mainstream secondary school in Bury. The role will start on 29/04/2024 and is offered on a part-time basis - 9am - 12 pm Monday and Wednesday and 12pm - 3pm on Friday.
The role will involve tutoring secondary age pupils at KS3 & KS4 on both a 1-1 and small group basis. You will need to be proficient in science and confident and capable at tutoring students up to GCSE level. You will need to be able to quickly and effectively engage and build rapport with these pupils.
The role would suit and existing science teacher or tutor looking for flexible, part-time work or a science graduate looking to gain experience within the education sector.
Key Requirements:
- Able to tutor students in science up to GCSE level
- Have a passion for science
- Hold a degree in science or higher
- Able to work with pupils on a 1-1 and small group basis
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to quickly build rapport
- Immediately available
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to process one
