Secondary - Design Technology Teacher

We are working to support a Good Secondary school near Chichester in finding an outstanding, experienced DT Teacher to join their team from April '24. Whilst initially a temporary contract for a term, candidates may be offered a permanent role if right for the school. For this role, they would also look at an outstanding Cover Teacher/Cover Supervisor to be consistent for the school throughout the term for the school. 

The School have a clear focus on raising standards of academic performance for KS3 and KS4 and have made good progress towards their ultimate goal of being an outstanding academy. They are part of a Trust of schools who value and promote CPD for their staff to improve their knowledge and abilities and support them in becoming they best teacher they can.

• Be an outstanding teacher with a passion for DT and an ability to work with young people with a range of needs and adapt the lessons to be inclusive and engaging for all.
• Be inspirational with the capacity to empower students to be the best they can be.
• Be an ambitious and motivational teacher who is keen to make a difference to the prospects of young people in the area
• Be able to work independently as this is a small school. You will be able to support with general cover or have a second subject that you could be timetabled to teach.
• Be able to develop best practice in teaching and learning whilst fostering a growth in aspirations in the area.
• Withold high aspirations and expectations for every student in your classes so that every student can make progress and develop a passion for the subject.

A driver is desirable due to the location of the school although it can be accessed by the local buses. You must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to gain one and have right to work in the UK.
