About the opportunity: We have are currently looking for a Secondary Education Youth Worker to join our growing Everton in the Community team.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- To organise and deliver a varied menu of club and school-based alternative educational programmes that include Enterprise, Community Action programmes, World of Work events, PSHE, short pathway programmes and other bespoke provision to targeted secondary school children across the Liverpool City Region.
- To inspire and motivate young people aged between 11 and 18 identified as being at risk due to disengagement from learning, low self-esteem, vulnerable to exploitation, at risk of being NEET or achieving their potential.
- To work closely with key link workers, support workers and transitional workers to ensure delivery of programmes are coordinated appropriately.
- To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
- To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.
This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and their education.
- Experience of developing session plans and schemes of work.
- Knowledge of different learning styles.
- Experience of delivering classroom based sessions to 11 – 18 year olds
- Experience of managing challenging student behaviours.
