We are currently seeking a dedicated English Teacher for a long-term supply role in a well-regarded secondary school in Grantham. The position is expected to last for at least 1 and 1/2 terms, with the potential to extend until Summer and into September. We are looking for an English Teacher who can commit to this duration and contribute positively to the school’s academic program.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in English literature and language across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a dynamic and stimulating classroom environment that caters to a diverse student body.
- Provide guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential in English.
- Maintain a strong classroom presence and manage student behaviour effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and teaching resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary English.
- Experience teaching English literature and language across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- ESOL/TEFL teachers will not be considered for this role - must have QTS in Secondary English.
