Salary: Competitive ranging from £130 - £211 per day
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Huntingdon. This temporary full-time position commences on the 15th April and concludes on the 27th June 2024. As a Geography Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students in years 7 to 10, inspiring them to explore the world through the lens of geography.
Day to Day of the role:
Teach geography to students in years 7 to 10, adhering to the national curriculum and school policies.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
Assess students’ work, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.
Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s objectives.
Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of community and school spirit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A degree in Geography or a related subject.
A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
In-depth knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment standards.
Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for Geography and a dedication to educational excellence.
Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities and support the broader school community.
