We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our Secondary School Team after Easter. This temporary full-time role has the potential to continue after the summer. The ideal candidate will be QTS qualified and ready to create a dynamic learning environment for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. We are looking for a teacher who can bring a strong presence to the classroom, support students, and guide them towards academic success. If you have the ability to engage and maintain high levels of learner engagement through innovative lesson planning and delivery, we would love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive History curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career goals, contributing to their overall development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in History or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the UK History curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
