Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Staff to join our team starting in September. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to students, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
- Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized support plans for students with specific needs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders to promote student well-being and academic success.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of young people.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students and the school community.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
