GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic key stage 4 teacher for History to undertake a position at one of our client Secondary schools. The School is looking for someone who can start ASAP.
About the Secondary Teaching role:
- Within the context of the school's curriculum and schemes of work, plan and teach lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach
- To maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the teaching of mainly History as a subject
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values, ethos and vision
- Setting and marking of regular homework
About the Candidate:
- Be a qualified Secondary Teacher / Key Stage 4 (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
- Must have previous experience as a History Teacher in a Secondary School
- Understanding of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
- Will collaborate within the History team to contribute to the department's success
- Have an understanding of the curriculum and factors contributing to the learning experience of pupils
- Must have an enhanced child workforce DBS or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
