Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages the social and emotional growth of students.
- Assist with academic tasks, ensuring access to the curriculum and facilitating active engagement in learning.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence in students with SEN, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Monitor and track student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with children with SEN is highly preferred, or within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and a commitment to staying up to date with best practices.
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of different students and learning environments.
