Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Oversight: Manage and coordinate all engineering activities within the assigned project section, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
Surveying and Setting Out: Conduct precise surveying and setting out activities, ensuring accurate positioning of structures and components.
Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including materials and manpower, to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure that work meets the required standards and specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, subcontractors, and the project management team to facilitate seamless project delivery.
Problem Solving: Identify and address engineering challenges proactively, proposing effective solutions to keep the project on schedule.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of engineering activities, variations, and any deviations from the project plan.
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering projects, with a focus on rail or infrastructure.
Familiarity with HS2 project requirements and standards.
Proficient in surveying and setting out techniques.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
