EMCOR UK is looking for a Security Manager to join their Siemens contract, this is a full time position based from home - nationwide.
As an experienced security professional, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of site security designs and plans to ensure the protection of all site personnel, property, and assets.
To lead the contractual security provision, ensuring that security services are delivered in accordance with current regulations, legislation, and contractual requirements. Ensure that a culture of relationship management, team working, task ownership and accountability are implemented across the sites. Accountability for security procedures, periodic site security surveys and providing the site teams with relevant security advice as required, providing strategic and innovative solutions to ensure the protection of people, property, and assets. Responsibility for the management of compliance procedures in line with EMCOR UK Company processes and policies. Be accountable for the cost-effective implementation of any planned security works within agreed timescales and on target, positively influence & build two-way relationships with all the key stakeholders and external suppliers.
The role is a national role but homebased. You will be required to travel to sites throughout the UK as required, including overnight stays.
Physical Security
- Be required to carry out periodic site security assessments using client specific security standards to identify areas for improvement - Physical, technological, and cultural.
- Able to record any findings in a comprehensive format and be able to present any findings along with any technical data to non-security professionals.
- Carryout research and identify the most appropriate supply chain partners to assist with client security projects.
- Support security mobilisation & transition activities
- Support and undertake security investigations, reporting and recommending corrective actions as required.
Technical Security
- A good understanding of Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), access control systems, intruder detection systems (IDS) and alarm receiving centres (ARC) including their applications and limitations.
- Be able to produce Level 1 & 2 operational requirements in coordination with the client security team.
- Technological understanding and ability to identify and recommend the most appropriate technological security solutions and any integration.
Security Advisory
- Must be a trusted professional who can identify and advise site management teams and our client/customers on good practice, legislation, or any other security related matters.
Risk Management
- Identifying areas of risk using open-source intelligence to provide updates to the site teams as required.
- As directed by the account director or when appropriate, carry out security risk analysis to identify any security risk that require communication to the wider team - Any new emerging security threats, potential protest or civil unrest activity, Government initiatives or campaigns.
Training
- Ability to identify and develop awareness training programs.
- Act as a mentor for the site security supervisors, providing guidance in conjunction with their line mangers as required.
- Working with the site teams and the EMCOR UK central security team to ensure that all security personnel are trained to the appropriate levels and identify any training gaps.
Person Specification
- Qualifications Level 5 or above in a recognised security qualification or substantial experience in similar sectors, i.e. law enforcement, HM Forces - CSMP, level 5 diploma in security management, MSc, BA honours would be an advantage.
- IOSH Managing safely.
- SIA Front Line Licences SG, DS
- Be a full member of the security institute who is actively engaged with undertaking continual professional development.
- Be able to achieve BS7858 Vetting Audit qualification would be beneficial.
Knowledge
- Sound working knowledge of Performance Measurement Systems
- Carrying out site security audits
- Security risk analysis and compiling security survey reports
- Understanding on information security ISO27001 and cyber security principles
- Proven exposure to developing strategic security solutions, implementing, and delivering a first-class service.
