Security Officer

Job title: Security Officer

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Up to £35,000
Location: Abingdon
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- 2+ years of experience in a security related role
- IT literate and proficient with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel)
- Good communication skills
- Good stakeholder management skills
Role information:
- Act as first point of contact for security matters through providing operational support, guidance and advice to staff
- Assist with client and regulator audits
- Conduct security awareness induction training for new starters
- Manage office access and door codes
- Ensure security risk assessments are kept up to date
- Complete walkarounds to assess compliance with security procedures
- Review and respond to security letters
- Assist with the investigation of security related incidents
- Escalate security risks to the head of security
