Security Senior Supervisor

The Security Senior Supervisor will be accountable for deterring, detecting and investigating loss within designated Hub locations. They will work closely with the Loss Prevention Team to support the reduction of losses including client freight, through internal theft.

They will ensure theft is being targeted through undertaking searches, vehicle checks and utilising the CCTV system to monitor and address any issues identified. Working closely with the Loss Prevention Team, Operations Managers and Shift Managers to ensure that key processes are being adhered to that deliver the loss and security strategy for the operation.

You will be accountable for:

Improve Loss and Damage

• Work with Hub Team to manage site access controls
• Continually review security presence within the Hub with the Loss Prevention team to identify trends and new ways of working to prevent loss
• Conduct proactive investigations re individuals who have been highlighted as being responsible for theft-fraud
• Be responsible for client loss issues that are identified through Clients and work on site with the operational teams to improve loss by client to the agreed KPIs
• Support on different processes to safeguard parcel performance such as high value goods

Hub Site Security and Processes

• Ensuring processes entering and exiting the site are operating properly across all shifts
• Ensuring security checks are conducted re visitors to the Hub

Parcel Treatment and Behaviour

• Working with the Hub Loss Prevention team to reduce damage and mismanagement or treatments of parcels
• Instilling a culture of handling parcels with care

Essential skills and experience required:

• Competent in Microsoft Office Package skills, including excel
• SIA Badge ideal but not essential
• Fully flexible to work 5 out of 7 days on a shift pattern basis, including weekends and evenings
• Experience of security within a warehouse environment
• Audit role within warehouse or hubs
• The ability to handle multiple/complex tasks in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
• Self-motivated and always ready to use your initiative
