About the role
Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, you’ll work with the team to maintain, fault find and upgrade the Drax security system infrastructure across all our sites in the UKs to ensure we provide a stable, secure and resilient security platform for the business
Some of your responsibilities in this role will include –
Managing Drax security infrastructure including CCTV, access control,intruder, perimeter intrusion detection, barrier, gates, and turnstile systems.
Organising the preventative maintenance schedule with our contractors, ensuring all visits to our sites are documented.
Deliver assigned security projects & BAU tasks in scope and on time.
Managing the daily tasks of our Security Systems Analysts and Security Systems Apprentices and stepping in for the Security Systems Manager during any leave or absences.
Join the teams on call rota, so we can provide support to the business 24/7
Our standard working hours are 8:30-4:45 Monday – Thursday with an early finish at 3:45pm on a Friday. You’ll sometimes need to be flexible around these hours due to the nature of this role. As mentioned above you’ll cover all of our sites across the UK meaning there may be times where you’ll be working away from home.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have the following:
Experience working in a large industrial environment.
Good understanding of CCTV network technologies, infrastructure and processes
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large IP CCTV systems.
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large enterprise access control systems.
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large intruder alarm systems.
Excellent documentation skills
Health & safety training to IOSH standard or higher. (training can be provided for the right candidate)
Experience working with fibre optics.
Knowledge of Cisco network switching configuration
Full UK driving license.
