Semi Senior / Bookkeeper

Are you a Semi Senior Accountant who is looking to work for an accountancy practice in the Scarborough area who will support your development and offer study support? Have you worked as a bookkeeper and managed your own portfolio of clients and looking to move into a team environment?

If you have either worked in practice and looking for progression or looking to get back into a small practice team, then this could be the job for you.

Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Semi Senior Accountant / bookkeeper to join their busy Scarborough office.

What the Semi Senior / Bookkeeper job involves

• Working autonomously, you will be looking after a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• You will be preparing company accounts for a number of different types of clients to support the director.
• Filing VAT returns and bookkeeping
• Completing corporation and personal tax returns

Skills required

• Experience of using finance packages such as Xero or Quickbooks
• Experience of working with an Accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to work as part of a wider team.
• Either qualified by experience, part qualified with (ACA or ACCA) or AAT.

If you are a Semi Senior Accountant looking for progression or Accounts Senior already who is either qualified by experience, part qualified or fully qualified (ACA / ACCA) with a background in practice, then this could be a great opportunity for you.

• This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week
