Job Title: Assembly Operative
Location: Ballymena, County Antrim
Duration: Temp to perm
Pay Rates: 11.74 PAYE OR 15.39 Umbrella ( whilst temping)
We are currently recruiting for a number of Assembly Operatives for a well-established engineering company based in Ballymena, County Antrim.
Our client is looking to expand companywide due to an increased workload throughout the business, we are looking to take on further staff immediately.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the assembly and fabrication of parts as part of the manufacturing process.
Assembling a variety of materials such as metal, wood, laminate and fibreglass components to the vehicles as part of the production process.
Responsible for the safe operation of plant equipment and hand tools.
Assembling the product in line with assembly drawings.
Participation in continuous improvement teams and initiatives.
Responsible for complying with the H&S, policies and procedures.
Ensuring that work carried out is up to the set company standard and that all quality sign-offs and procedures are complied with.
Ensure work is completed to the ISO 9001 standard.
Moving between several operations whilst maintaining high-quality workmanship and efficiency.
Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
Undertaking training or retraining associated with the post or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.
Requirements:
Experience using a variety of hand tools.
Experience working from assembly drawings and instructions.
Knowledge of the engineering industry.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 7am to 5pm (38-hour week)
Overtime available on Fridays (x1.5)
Contract:
Temporary for approx 12 weeks ( probationary period)
PAYE and Umbrella pay rates available.
