Job Title: SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
- Work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Proven experience working with SEMH in a school setting.
- NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the UK SEN Code of Practice.
