Academics Agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Medical Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.
As a PMLD Medical TA with Academics Agency, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities within educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:
?? Assisting students with personal care tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the day. ?? Implementing individualized learning plans and providing one-on-one support to students with diverse needs. ?? Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. ?? Supporting students with sensory and communication needs, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to enhance their learning experience. ?? Promoting independence and social inclusion among students, fostering their personal growth and development. ??Administering medication according to the specific needs of the pupil
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
?? Experience working with individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, preferably within an educational or healthcare setting. ?? Understanding of complex medical needs and ability to provide appropriate care and support. ?? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach. ?? Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, while also demonstrating initiative and adaptability. ?? Relevant certifications or training in areas such as First Aid, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding (desirable).
