Here at Team Educate, we're currently in search of exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants for a school located in the Nuneaton area. Our Ofsted-rated 'Good' partner school fosters a welcoming, diverse environment where there is a positive relationship between staff and pupils, fostering ambition and good outcomes for every student. Leadership are approachable and supportive and look forward to welcoming committed support staff to the school.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the School Leaders and teaching staff in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Help supervise and manage classroom behaviour
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Take agency with daily tasks such as preparing materials, setting up activities, and leading creative, practical and sensory activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting or with those with Autism
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and other staff members
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- A recognised and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification, such as NCFE CACHE 'Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools'
