SEN Teaching Assistant

Here at Team Educate, we're currently in search of exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants for a school located in the Nuneaton area. Our Ofsted-rated 'Good' partner school fosters a welcoming, diverse environment where there is a positive relationship between staff and pupils, fostering ambition and good outcomes for every student. Responsibilities:
- Assist the School Leaders and teaching staff in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Help supervise and manage classroom behaviour
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Take agency with daily tasks such as preparing materials, setting up activities, and leading creative, practical and sensory activities

Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting or with those with Autism
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and other staff members
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- A recognised and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification, such as NCFE CACHE 'Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools'
