Holden Knight Education are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 in a number of schools in Manchester
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work 1:1 alongside a child day to day.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have a positive mind-set and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the students. An ideal candidate will need to be able to build rapport with students.
Key skills:
- To have a good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with such needs.
- To have knowledge and understanding of social, emotional & mental health needs and cognitive needs, that affect children and young people’s development.
- Excellent listening skills
- An ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning
- Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities
- To use positive and personalised behavior management strategies
