Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEN support, you will play a crucial role in helping students with additional needs thrive in the classroom environment. Your responsibilities may include providing one-on-one assistance, implementing individualised education plans, assisting with classroom activities, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to SEN students based on their individual needs and learning goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to implement effective learning strategies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as needed.
- Implement behavioural strategies and interventions to support student engagement and success.
- Previous experience working with SEN students is preferred but not required.
- Psychology graduates with a passion for working with children with additional needs are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
