Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students. This position requires experience working with children, especially those with special needs such as autism. Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support students in their daily routines, including toileting, feeding, and other personal care tasks
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher
- Assist in preparing materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Foster effective communication between students, parents, and other staff members
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum
- Knowledge of toddler care and early childhood development principles
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
