Key Details:
- Location: Nottingham
- Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30
- Annual Leave: 30 days, plus one additional day after three years, up to a maximum of five extra days
- Benefits: Westfield Health Scheme and Life Cover post-probation, Standard Life Pension
- Salary: GBP32,432.40 to GBP39,998.70, depending on experience
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Therapy, Special Education, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred.
- Expertise in music technology and preferably experience in a SEND setting.
- Plan and execute vibrant music lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of SEND learners.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles, sensory preferences, and communication needs.
- Provide specialized instruction in music theory, instrumental/vocal techniques, music appreciation, and performance skills, both individually and in small groups.
- Utilize a wide range of teaching methods, resources, and assistive technologies to promote active participation and meaningful learning experiences.
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, independence, resilience, self-expression, and confidence-building among students.
- Assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and offer constructive feedback to facilitate development and growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and support staff to address the individual needs of students and promote holistic learning and development.
