SEND Teacher Needed

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Are you a dedicated and supportive teacher? Do you have a good understanding of the national curriculum?

A Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher is required for long term supply cover in a mainstream Primary school based in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Due to a high number of children with additional needs, the school have set up a SEND classroom for children of mixed ages, ranging from EYFS-Year 2. 

The role will be delivering an engaging curriculum and requires a versatile SEND Teacher who is creative and caring in their approach. The school has a team of dedicated teaching assistants who provide fantastic support to the children. The students are vulnerable and need that little bit extra support, you will need to be patient and caring. You will work alongside 2 class TAs who will also be there to support the needs of the children on a more 1:1 basis.

The ideal SEND Teacher will have:

• UK QTS with SEND experience
• The ability to follow the National Curriculum and provide creative lessons
• Positive approach to teaching
• The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils
• Fantastic classroom management
