The role:
Are you passionate about empowering students with special educational needs (SEN) to excel in mathematics and Science? We're seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher with expertise in Mathematics and Science to join our dynamic team at Northwood College for Girls GDST.
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to SEN students in the Senior School, focusing on mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills and Science knowledge, understanding and application skills. They will collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to develop and implement individualised education plans for students with SEN.
Previous experience working with SEN students and a strong knowledge of the mathematics and Science curriculums will be required as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to students with diverse needs. Candidates with Level 7 Diploma in dyslexia teaching and assessment are especially encouraged to apply.

The SEN Department of Northwood College is an energetic and committed department which supports students with SEN in small groups and in one-to-one teaching and support sessions. We believe that all students can flourish in the right environment and with the best support. Students have a diverse range of needs including SpLD, dyslexia, autism and ADHD.
