1:1 SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant Needed in Derby Area

Key Skills and Duties:
- Working on a 1:1 basis with a child with SEND, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Collaborating with a team of experienced Teaching Assistants to create a fun and engaging environment for the children in your care.
- Utilizing different behavior management techniques to support the child in regulating their emotions and promoting positive behavior.
- Supporting the child with their academic and personal development, including activities such as reading, writing, and social skills.
- Maintaining regular communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure consistency and progress.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated individual who has experience working with children or adults with additional needs. Experience with different behavior management techniques and a proven track record of helping children regulate their emotions are highly desirable for this role. Additionally, experience working with children who have emotional needs would be a significant advantage.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible. While initially offered on a temporary basis, there is an opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
