About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant focusing on Physical Disabilities, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students in Year 2. The successful candidate will work closely with individual students, providing 1:1 support to facilitate their learning and personal development. Experience in supporting students with Physical Disabilities, as well as training in manual handling, will be essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Physical Disabilities, focusing on their individual learning goals and personal care needs.
- Assist students with mobility, including transferring and positioning, in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, adapting materials and equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and self-confidence among students.
