About the Senior Account Director / Client Lead - Sustainablity role
As Exposure has been transitioning its internal operations to become a net zero business (Mission Zero), they have started to build a portfolio of sustainability consultancy and campaign projects for clients including BT, Samsung, British Fashion Council and Levi’s.
The agency is looking to recruit a specialist sustainability Lead with experience in campaign delivery and client management, with the intention of growing a specialist sustainability offering within Exposure, to be called Exposure Earth.
You’ll be the first specialist Sustainability Lead, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with the Sustainability Champions across the agency, reporting regularly with the MD and CEO. More specifically, the Sustainability Lead’s responsibilities will be to:
- Successfully implement sustainability campaigns, ensuring key performance metrics are met.
- Brief internal teams on sustainability objectives and how these might be met, conforming to client net zero and circularity goals, aligned to CDP disclosure standards.
- Advise on sustainability strategies, raising potential issues, and anticipating client’s needs.
- Keeping up to date with market trends and regulatory developments, analysing their implications, and developing consulting offerings that could be strategically converted into large revenue streams.
- Ensure a growing portfolio of sustainability campaigns and clients with revenues growing annually at 30%+.
- Grow out a specialist team and enhance the reputation of Exposure as a sustainable campaign communications specialist.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Specialist sustainability knowledge. This could be through qualifications or experience in previous roles, but the candidate must be highly knowledgeable about sustainability and act as an expert within the agency, with the desire to learn continually.
- Well-versed with global trends in sustainability – emerging industry practices, regulatory requirements, on-ground trends, and market direction.
- Proven track record in winning new business and building long-lasting relationships.
- Experience as an Account Director, Senior Account Director, Client Lead or similar in an agency setting.
- Confident in a client facing, agency role and proven track record in working to set budgets, and successfully leading on client briefs.
