At Squish we make juice as fresh and flavourful as it can be; just like biting into the fruit. We supply hundreds of the most well-known hospitality brands in the UK daily including The Ritz, SAVOY and Harrods – and are proud to be served in restaurants with 50 Michelin stars.

Squish is growing fast. We’re moving into new offices and planning nationwide expansion. We’re also working with one leading brand agencies in the UK to relaunch our brand and shake up this sector.

Position Summary

As the Senior Account Manager and leader of the Wholesale Sales Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, while also fostering strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the food & beverage industry, a proven ability to lead sales teams, and a passion for building relationships and driving growth.

1. Business Development – Working to expand our network of wholesalers to ensure distribution coverage for the whole of the UK before moving on to new countries. This will include identifying and building a list of all suitable wholesalers and developing those leads

2. Account Management – Our goal is to feel like an integrated extension of our wholesalers’ teams. To do so we need to understand the inner workings of business and clearly convey how we operate. This includes contact management, sales analysis, supply chain coordination and getting new clients onboarded quickly. For the wholesaler this includes being offered new sales leads, growing volumes, preferred pricing, marketing support and a high level of responsiveness.

3. Sales Optimisation – With hundreds of suppliers and thousands of products, we will be able to give more focus to our range than our wholesalers are likely to. By analysis data from sales reports, we can perform gap analysis and see where opportunities exist and pick up on any lost volume quickly. Ultimately we aim to being the exclusive supplier for the products we supply.

4. Team Leadership – Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of individual and team targets.

5. Product Knowledge & Training – As we expand our range the SAM will work with their team to give our wholesale clients the all the info they need to get our product into the hands of their customers. The better our wholesale partners understand our product range and how to sell it the more they are likely to sell. This is especially important for new product launches and seasonal products.

6. Marketing Programmes – Suppoted by Squish’s in-house Marketing Team the SAM will feed into targetted marketing campaigns to assist with growth – trade shows, direct marketing, etc. We will collaborate with our wholesale partners to increase their clients’ basket with sample boxes and visibility through their socials and newsletters, etc.

Wholesale Team Structure

Led by the Senior Account Manager (SAM) with two supporting Key Account Managers. The SAM will report on a weekly basis to the Managing Director  and Commercial Director. The Wholesale Team works in parallel with the Trade Sales Team, who manage relationships and business development with hospitality groups and venues.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Verifiable track record of sales growth
  • 10+ years of experience in a F&B sales role, working with foodservice wholesalers
  • 5+ year managing a sales team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good analytical and Excel skills

Preferable

  • Experience in Food & Beverage startup
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus

Package & Schedule

  • £50-60,000 basic salary, pro-rata, paid monthly
  • % Sales Bonus
  • Private Healthcare Package
  • 40 hour week
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Flexible working – Office: New Covent Garden Market, Central London
